Hi folks,
have you ever encountered the similar thing?
I am totally confused:
1) My I-485 and my wife's were in CSC and were transfered to NSC in 3/2007
2) We did the 2nd FP in 3/2007
3) Our name checks have been pending since 5/2005
4) We've received the letter from FBI that our Name Checks have been finished and finalized, and sent to USCIS headquarter in Washington, DC. on 3/14/2005
5) I made an Infopass appointment today in San Francisco, but the officer told me that our "Background Check" still shows pending, but a few months back the senator and congressman both told me my case was pending solely because of the Name Check Pending.
6) Strange enough, the San Francisco USCIS officer sent request to NSC to ask to pull our cases to the local San Francisco office (instead of Laguna Niguel).
I am confused what the implications would be. Will the pulling back from NSC to CSC a positive sign or negative sign? Will this cause further delay? or it can actually help things moving? How long does this process typically take? When the Name Check results can be updated in USCIS system?
By pulling case to Local office, do we need to have the interview rather than by default no interview needed?
Thank you if anyone knows anything about this issue!
