Since my case is pending and I am afraid of retaliation, i will address this issue anonymously to see if other people had similar experiences.
I filed couple of applications with INS before and noticed that anytime my case was unanswered beyond the waiting time and I was contacting the National Customer Service to sort it out, an immediate reaction of the local office was the update of my status with retrograded date and with a note that my application has been answered already long time ago and something has been sent to me. In none of these cases did the alleged mail reach me (it happened already twice: first with my practical training work permit and then with biometric appointment for my green card). Could that be possible that the local INS writes fictitious things down so it looks good before their federal office? Is this possible that in a consequence for contacting the National CS the applicants are punished by putting their case in a dead end?
I am really frustrated with this. Can anyone advise?
