I just called a IO at TSC and asked her about the status of my name check. She said as of Nov 1, 2006, they have stopped telling that information, but she also said that recently you had a FP done at ASC (05/15) and the ASC hasn't sent the results to TSC. Could it be true? If it is, whom should I contact to have ASC send the info to TSC?

Strange info from TSC IO

I tried several times to call TSC using POJ trick since last Friday, it always said there is no assitant IO available and transfering to National serive center.

You might got the same lady I got, she told me exactly the same information. Looks like TSC IO's are trying avoid calls.

I got the same exact info from a TSC lady yesterday. However, her info is incorrect as i had called the FBI and they confirmed they had sent the results a couple of days after the FP in May (see signature).
Sydney, can you please let me know how to contact FBI to get the status of our checks... Would appreciate it.

“Call FBI at 304 625 2000. Tell them you are calling about checking the status of your Fingerprinting, done recently for immigration purposes. The person may transfer you to another dept.
Tell the same thing to the person who answers from this department. Give them your name, d-o-b and A#. Once he/she tells you when the fingerprinting results were sent back to USCIS, ask him/her if anything else is pending. If name check is pending, they will most likely tell you.”

Infopass appointments have been a hit and miss proposition for many of us here - sometimes we get useful information, sometimes not.
However, your PD and RD are quite old, so you can ask the IO if the visa bulletin update will affect your case.
It kinda depends on the IO as well - how willing will he/she be to help in any way possible.
