On October 22, 2007 I made an enquiry through phone for pending I-485 application. I just recieved a status update from USCIS

"The status of this service request is:

Recently, you called us to update your address. We have updated your address in our systems and on your application or petition. Thank you for notifying us of your change of address. If you change your address again in the future, please contact customer service at the number provided below.

On 06/19/2007, we created a Permanent Resident Card for you, and mailed it to the address we had on file at that time, but the post office returned it to us. Recently, you called to tell us that you did not receive your Permanent Resident Card. As a courtesy, we have enclosed your Permanent Resident Card with this letter. In the future, if you change your address please contact customer service at 1-800-375-5283.

I have been reading the forum for a long time and have never seen this status message. My online check still says that Application is pending at Texas service center.

Application Details:
Pending Since 06/2003
Its a derivative application, primary applicant and two other derivatives were approved in 11/2004.

I am going to call USCIS tomorrow, but have anyone seen this before or have any thoughts or is it just an error? :(

Firstly, Congrats you were approved in June. I think the Post Office just returned it back. Call the Customer Service and ask them the mail it over again. It might take upto 30 days. Meanwhile you can take Info Pass and try to get your passport stamped.
