Hello Gurus, Can you please advice.

I am on H1b which will be getting expired of 6yr in Arpil'2005.

I have an employer who wishes to file for GC. The only issue is I do not want to get onto his payroll untill I receive the GC as am holding a good job which might be transferable to India and hence want to do a CP instead of joining and doing a 485.

question:-

Can the employer sponsor my GC though I will not join him right now.? Do u anticipate any issues.

The other thing is the employer has a lawyer who is not computer savvy. He could not open Word files. Do u anticipate issues where he needs to deal with the consulate as the case will be a CP (Mumbai).? Any suggestions.......The employer who is my ex-employer is confident that the lawyer is fine as he takes care of h1b for his employees.

Thanks

{You can start your GC process with this company. You can
join them after getting your Green Card}

{Yes. There should not be any issues as long as the sponsor
stands behind you and pursues the case}

{Attorney's computer skills are illelevant as long as he handles
the immigration matters well. In the regular CP process there
is no actual interaction with the Consulate.}

Thanks
