Talked to IIO this morning about my ever pending 485 application and AP renewal. My 485 dates are:
RD: 08/16
RFE rcvd by INS : 08/20

She said that the app is still pending and when I asked her why it was taking so long, these were her words -
"We have received a mandate from our HQ to do a security check on each and every case which is delaying the process."
It has been exactly three months since they received my response and they are sitting on it. It is so damn frustrating not knowing what the hell is going on. I had called a month ago and I was told that the app has been moved and assigned to an officer but the IIO told me today that it is still in the waiting area. Don't know what to do and who to believe.
 
The indecision is agonizing...

They are re-sending FP files to FBI for repeat checks to see if you have become "criminally inclined" in the interim.

Unless you happen to have the good fortune to have a name like 'CHUTIYA-PRAJARAM', a hypenated-Indian who prowls this forum looking for sick thrills (unique names like that could safely be made Primary Keys), you still have to keep your fingers-crossed hoping that there wouldn't be any false "hits" in their IBIS database.

As you all know the FBI Top 10 list only has chutiyas on it. We know one guy who's name will get a hit and trip off the fire alarm....
