Still waiting for the Passport after the Oath

I took the Oath on Nov 14, 2006 at San Francisco and dropped my passport application at the same place after the Oath ceremony was done. However until now, I still haven't received my passport yet and the on-line status said it will take 6 weeks and I should receive it on/before 12/31/06. But I heard another person who also took the same day Oath at the same place, and she sent her passport application (paid $97) through the US Postal Office the day after the Oath. Then she received her passport 2 by end of November (only 2 weeks). My concern is I already bought the airline ticket and will travel oversea early next month, do you think I will receive my passport by end of this month? Does anyone has same situation as mine?

Thanks!

I also applied for passport on 30th Nov (day of my oath) at the oath venue in Tampa and no news yet....online status says there is no record of my application yet (even after 2 weeks)...

The online site sometimes works and sometimes doesn't. I applied for an expedited passport. The document should up after almost 2 weeks, but my name never made it onto the site (even a week later).

But, unless you paid the expediting fee, your expectations should be lower (doesn't it say something like 6 to 8 weeks). Don't forget that the new passport rules come into effect next month, that's probably causing a crush at passport offices

The 800 number should work.
