Still waiting for my Approval from 2001

I am stuck in very bad situation.... I've applied for my GC in june 2001.. Biometrics, medical etc are done long time ago..
Made appointments with Immigrations Officer, Contacted my Congressman. Even sent an email to Nebraska center.
So far nothing happen.....Only thing i hear is that "Your case is still under Security check".... Does it really takes 3-4 years to get the security clear?
Or they have lost my file and pretty much my file is closed.....

You are probably stuck in name check. There is probably very little you can do in this situation. However, I know that folks have sued USCIS in the past about this but now I think this is no longer the case: even if you sue USCIS, you will not get expedited service.

I applied for I-485 in Jan 2000 and just got my GC June of this year and that was enlisting my congreeman for help.
