Thanks nwctzn. I appreciate your responses.
Did you do a walk-in for your FPs or did you received a YL during your process?
With walk-ins I have seen (looking through these forums) most of the times USCIS seems to wait until the actual appointment date to schedule a case in-line for the interview; people have been doing walk-ins mostly 3-4 weeks ahead of their appointment date. Also cases that receive YL, (probably because of answering yes to traffic violations in N-400 or other reasons), the whole process gets delayed by almost atleast a month... again I arrived at these conclusions strictly by following different cases on this forum.
My wife's case is a very straight-forward case... no traffic violations, single job throughout etc... no if/buts in her N-400 application. I am pretty sure she will not be receiving any YL and she got her FPs done on the scheduled appointment date.
Looking through the forum is what is getting me more and more confused. On this forum I have not seen a straight-forward case without any updates for 2 weeks after FPs. I was wondering how long should I wait for an update?.. if more than a month, than would like to know why will it take that long for her case?
Also, once reasonable time passes and still there is no update then is there a way to check what's happening to her case?.. or why her case is stuck?.. Will I need to contact our State Senator Office etc.. with request to get her case moving??
Please comment.
