FP were done on April 18th as per the appointment (no walk-in). Tomorrow it's going to be 2 weeks. Still no updates. Is there a number that I can call to check what is happening to the case?

Is there anyone else who has'nt have any updates even after 2 weeks after the FP were done as per the appointment date (no walk-ins) and are Still in the Intial Review stage???

Please share the info.

Thanks nwctzn. I appreciate your responses.

Did you do a walk-in for your FPs or did you received a YL during your process?

With walk-ins I have seen (looking through these forums) most of the times USCIS seems to wait until the actual appointment date to schedule a case in-line for the interview; people have been doing walk-ins mostly 3-4 weeks ahead of their appointment date. Also cases that receive YL, (probably because of answering yes to traffic violations in N-400 or other reasons), the whole process gets delayed by almost atleast a month... again I arrived at these conclusions strictly by following different cases on this forum.

My wife's case is a very straight-forward case... no traffic violations, single job throughout etc... no if/buts in her N-400 application. I am pretty sure she will not be receiving any YL and she got her FPs done on the scheduled appointment date.

Looking through the forum is what is getting me more and more confused. On this forum I have not seen a straight-forward case without any updates for 2 weeks after FPs. I was wondering how long should I wait for an update?.. if more than a month, than would like to know why will it take that long for her case?

Also, once reasonable time passes and still there is no update then is there a way to check what's happeining to her case?.. or why her case is stuck?.. Will I need to contact our State Senator Office etc.. with request to get her case moving??

Please comment.

You worry too much. My case is very simple, no complications but had to wait 7 weeks for the online update, and 5 weeks for the yellow letter. There is a good chance that you receive yellow letter even if your case has no complications (simply asking for DL).

If you filed based on 5 years - 90 days rule, you do not have the highest priority anyway.

You received a YL. I am specifically interested in cases which have not received any YL and have not done walk-in for FP. I am just trying to figure out whether such cases has been there with no updates for over 2 weeks after FP, and if such cases exist than what approoximate percentage of the overall are there.

So please if anyone has been in a similar situation (no YL, no walk-in for FP, over 2 weeks without updates after FP) please comment.

Thanks

I am also waiting after FP

My scheduled FP was at 2/29 and I've received the YL after a month of the scheduled FP. You can always check if your name check is still pending, but you are way too early to worry :) There is at least 90% chance that in the next 2-3 weeks you will receive YL or online update.

I had a straight-forward case and did regular FP walk-in (not early). I received a yellow letter about 5 weeks later.

You worry too much my friend. You are very early in the process.

Be patient, everything will work out.
