Still no FP notice??

I saw some posts here that just got their FP notices. My I485 was filed in early June. I still have not received any FP notices or any update on my case. I was told this is due to retrogression (back to 2000 now). Does anyone have a similar experience where you filed your I485 in the last 3-4 months and have not received your FP notice or any update? When should I be looking for the notice?

I got a notice for myself after a month. I'm still waiting for my wife's notice. I applied at NSC. It just doesn't make sense that I get a notice and not my wife.

I have asked the lawyers (my company paid) to make an inquiry. They are against making an inquiry. Should I inquire myself?

My priority date is May 2002, so based on the new retrogression, they wont get to my case for a while. But if they need my fingerprint to begin FBI name check, which will take months if not years, then why not inquire CIS, get my FP done now, any have FBI name check started. If it takes a year for my priority date to become current, then at least FBI can take as long as a year to run their background check without causing any further delays.

Any thoughts? THanks.

BTW, if there are any updates, will CIS send them to the lawyers or myself.

I just learned that the FBI doesn't need fingerprints to run their check. They only use your name. The fingerprint check is done by USCIS and it only takes a day or two. I hope this helps.

I just found a couple of sites where they say you fingerprints go directly to FBI for background check. It's hard to imagine that CIS has the capability of running background checks based on your fingerprints.

Does anyone know who the FP notice will be mailed to directly? Me or the attorney who filed on my behalf.

I got a copy of my I485 notice receipt and it only contains the attorney's address, not my address.

Does this mean they will mail the FP notice to the attorney??

Finger print notice timeframe

I am a little confused.
On the other threads, i read that nowadays, they send 800 number for us to call and make an appointment for getting the finger prints done.
Is that the process for recently filed I-485's ?
If yes, can i make an appointment now itself without having received any letter from BCIS ?

If not, then my 485 was filed on Sep 28th 2005. When can i expect to receive the finger print notice ?

CA / RIR - EB2
Priority date: 1/15/2003
I-140, I -485 Sent date: Sep 28, 2005.
RD - ND : Not yet received.

I-485 filed after Aug-15, 2005 have information about scheduling Biometrics/FP in the Receipt. You will need to wait for receipt with instruction before you can call the 1-800 number as you will need the A# (which you can find in your I-485 receipt)

It's been over four months. I still haven't received my Code 1 FP notice. What can I do and should I do? I really would like to get my name check started.
