Is it ok if I submit a 300x300 pixel photo taken by my digital cam?? I think 300x300 scanned photos are acceptable, so would they check the photo headers to see if it was taken by a digital cam or by a scanner??

I don't know why they are making all those restrictions about photo specifications. They are not explaining it clearly. They even made a mistake calculating some dimensions when they said that the head height (measured from the top of the head, including the hair, to the bottom of the chin) must be between 50% and 69% of the image’s total height. That means it should be between 150 and 207 pixels in a 300x300 photo, not 150 and 200 pixels like what they mentioned. The same for the eye height (measured from the bottom of the image to the level of the eyes) that should be between 56% and 69% of the image's height. This also means it should be between 168 and 207 pixels, not 170 and 200 like what they mentioned.

They are also requiring that the photo musct contain the shoulders of the applicant, while two of the example photos they are publishing do not contain the shoulders of the person in it..

Those people are really confusing me. :-/

I have never heard of anyone getting denied at the visa interview for technical errors in taking the photos.

Noone gets denied at the visa interview because of technical errors in photos, simply coz errors in photo disqualify the applicant before getting a NL!!
