Please give us feedback on procedures after GC Approval ...

Such as...

What do we do after we recieve card?
Do we need to stamp passport?
Any other procedures (informing any Govt agencies)?
Any other steps?

Pros who have already gone through these steps...please reply..it will be very helpful for recently approved folks...

Thanks in Advance...

I am not a pro at "post GC life" ... but here is what I know

- No need to stamp PP - the card would be mailed out and will reach you in ~2 wks.

- Once you get the card, update your employer with new I-9 showing the GC.

- Get a new DL if you are in one of those states that screws ppl waiting for AOS (like NJ and FL I think)

- The only Govt agency to "inform" would be the Social Security Admin .... contact them after a few months (say ~6 mos) and ask them to update ur SSN to remove the "work authorization" clause.

That's all I can think of.
