Staying with Sponsor After GC - Does the Pre-GC Emplymnt Count?

Gurus,

I have seen numerous posting suggesting that there is no safe period after teh GC approval when the person can leave the sponsor. It all depends upon intent of the person at the time of the GC approval. However, someone, like me, working for the sponsoring company for last seven years will have any lessened burden to prove by jumping ship after the approval? My lawyer seems to think so, although I will appreciate your input on this. The reson for leaving may be as simple as a better pay.
