Staying outside w/o reentry permit.

Folks,
My wife & kid is staying back in India for an extended holidays and wondering ,

Is there a problem @port of entry if she stays for 3 months?

I am back to US and my kid is USC.

Stays outside upto a period of 6 months will not cause any problem, particularly when they are isolated instances.
