Hi folks,
my H1-B is still valid for another one year.
If I get my green Card today, will my H1-B become automatically invalid?
Or do I have choice to still use it, before I officially switch to Green Card?
If so, how do I switch to Green Card? using it for job? or using it during travel?

Why would you want to use your H1-B when you have a green card? The green card allows you to do everything the H1-B does and more.

My guess is the H1-B would be invalid because you are no longer in non-immigrant status.

There is one advantage the H-1B has over a green card ... you can immediately bring in your spouse without regard for quotas and priority dates.

There is one more benefit of H1 in comparision with green card. In case of contract termination on behalf employer, ticket to the original destination must be paid by employer.

Once you get the GC approved, and put GC stamping on your passport, INS will invalidate the H1 Visa.
This is what happened to one of my friend.
