Status Inquiry

FYi!

Just called NSC to initiate an inquiry for my case with ND of 1/27/04 EB3 telling them i was the petitioner. He didnt ask any questions that would baffle me except for the knowns, such as address and compnay name. I was gonna ask my employer/lawyer but figured i try it first. Was told to expect something in the mail in 30 days. Otherwise, call them back.

Did you Call NSC or the USCIS 800 Number (800-375-5283)?

So he didnt ask you anything except the company name and address? I called few days back and he asked what the 140 application is based on? I had no clue about it so he figured I am the applicant and asked that I should ask my company to call back.

I called the 800 NSC number...800-375-5283....he asked for the receipt number and what category and i just gave him EB3...asked if i was the beneficiary or petitioner and of course i said i was the latter. then he asked me if i had other pending cases and i gave him my i485 receipt number. it's that simple. the guy i had was very knowlegable and helpful.
