Status in US in case of I-485 denial

Guys,

I had a few questions and confusions I would like clarify. These are:

(1) In case if AOS is denied, can you continue to work on EAD or H1?

(2) In my case, I've used H1 for only three years and now waiting for the results of AOS. In case of AOS denial, can I apply for H1 extension? My H1 is valid till April, 2003. In case if the denail comes for AOS after next April, will I be out of status right away? Should I apply for H1 extension now to avoid such thing?

hi,

If your company allows, go for H1 extension to avoid falling out of status. But I-485 denial is very rare....
As far as my knowledge goes ,if 485 is denied, and no H1 you are out of status.
