Status enquiries could delay case??

Hey guys, I recently heard from my colleague that status enquiries could delay your case be it over the telephone or in written form. Is this the general observation? I think I know of at least one case where there was delay but not because of an enquiry.

I do not thhink that this is a correct assumption. Usually a status enquiry is initiated for a case that is already delayed, this may give the impression that the case was delayed because of enquiry, but the fact of the matter is that the case was already delayed. My personal impression is that enquiries are not very effective in gettying any kind of positive response on your case either.
