Other than Employer & Attorney, is there any way to check the status of PERM application using Case number?

I am looking for an answer to a similar question.
The PERM website says
"This is an Employer-based system. Registration is only for Employers who want to create an account for filing online applications for Permanent Labor Certification. Once the account is established, Employers will be able to create sub-accounts for their Attorneys, Agents, and other employees. Attorneys and Agents should not register here."

So can we - the employee - check the status of our applucation prior to filing or after filing?

If so, do we need a separate account(PIN?/password) to access,

It would be good to be able to access, since I would not be reliant on what my HR or Lawyer says and be able to check the status daily. Currently my lawyer says, that if an account is created for me, my PERM application will be denied immediately. I find that absurd.
