Hi everyone, I've this thing that troubling me so much. I get less and less sleep day after day as many things going on. Hope anyone can help me. I was in F1 status but I made a bad decision to pause from school for few months now. My USC wife is going to apply I-130 for me. Will this be a problem for me later on to adjust my status? I've never broke a single law before other than one speeding ticket in my whole life :P

they forgive for worse things. Just get a good night sleep and wait. No need stressing until something actually happens. If you start out this way, you will have one stressful wait period. Relax...if you are legit I am sure they will look beyond that.

As long as you entered US legally, you'll be okay since they'll forgive USC's spouse for overstaying. Just prepare all the necessary documents, the interview officer is more interested in your financial backup documentation & proof to show you two are a real couple... ;)

I'm totally against illegals who entered fraudulently in this country and they should be deported.
Thankfully USCIS and Appellate Courts see this matter the same way.

You, and many others, on the other hand, who, for a reason or another are out of status...are forgiven by USCIS if become the immediate relative of an US citizen.

This happens for a reason: People who lost legal status are not the same with the criminals who crossed the border illegally through the night ;)

Like the previous posters said, don't worry, you'll be OK
:)

I-130 does not give you any status and you will not be able to adjust to a valid status till you apply for I-485. During your interview, you "might" be asked why you dropped out of college and it also matters how soon after you came here on F visa you got married to your USC wife. Other than that, there should not be much problem, get a good night sleep.

Thanks all for the input. I really appreciate you all helping me. I was really worried because I've never heard that it could be forgiven. I never think to find immigration chat room until this thing started bugging me and my sleep :P

Princesskate, I think I'll be ok to provide proof the documentations. I've read some of other posts. Will they send us the list of required documents or we have to come up our own?

I couldn't agree less with Suzy977 about the different between illegals who intentionally break the law by crossing the border overnight to work here and people who always want to keep in good status. I think, the predecessors of immigration officers didn't come up with the term "out-of-status" for nothing :D

Anyone could direct me to a link where explain all the terms use in this website? I'm kind of confused  Pardon my noobiness
