Here are some recently released statistics regarding the numerous petitions pending at USCIS during the first quarter of FY 2004 (October - December, 2003).
1.266 million cases were received by USCIS in the three-month period. (Suprisingly, this was the lowest since the beginning of FY 2000.
Total immigration application pending cases reached 5,299,780!!
In December, 2003, the most receipts were for the following applications:
I-765, Employment Authorization: 117,412
I-130, Relative petitions: 56,599
I-485, Applications for Permanent Resident Adjustment: 46,757
I-90, Green Card renewals/replacements: 42,501
At the end of December, 2003, here are the types of applications that had the most cases pending:
I-130, Relative petitions: 1,943,476
I-485, Applications for Permanent Resident Adjustment: 1,242,783
I-90, Green Card renewals/replacements: 657,365
