Statement of Reason

BTW, this is a great forum for J-1 waiver seekers.

In writing the statement of reason, is it relevant to mention a job offer that you have (I mean, specifying the job and company).

In my case, I will argue that the reason for the NObj is because going back will be very detrimental to my career, and because the government of my country, who funded me, does not object to my staying.

Is there anything else I should mention to help the application?

Thanks

That looks okay. You can also mention how successful you have been in your career here (give examples, especially if your career accomplishments have been in the national interest such as cancer research, but if not, still give examples of your success). Keep in mind that it is unclear how important the contents of the Statement of Reason are; the panel may read it, or not care about it as long as it's part of the application packet. Just remember not to write a long essay, rather, be concise and very straightforward. My suggestions here should not add more than a sentence or two.

Look at this...

I had earlier a post about how to write the statement of reason.

Search for my handle "NewRedyToHelp" and follow the instructions.

Good luck,
