Hello!
I am on a J1 visa that will expire in January 2006.I am subject to the two year home residence requirement. On my passport writes that"all USAID participants are subject to the two year home residence requirement" and USAID is The United States Agency for International Development. So i guess i "received' funds from the U.S. Government according to my DS 2019.
I want to apply for a waiver based on "a no objection statement from the home government" but i have a few questions:
1)What should i write in the statement of reason?Does a no objection statement from the home government have any value if the "sponsor" doesn't agree with the waiver?
Do i need an employer to help me change my status?
can't i just write that i want to come back in U.S.A earlier than in 2 years?Or just "based on a no objection statement from the home government"
2) I came here for training in restaurant management, but i have a Bachelor's Degree in International Business and a Master Degree in Foreign Trade and i have my transcripts from World Education Services.
I don't think the employer from the restaurant will help me apply for a H visa.
How can i find someone in my field of study to help me apply for H1B?
3) How long does it take to get the Labor Certification?
Do i have time to do everything in 5 months?
Can i use the 30 days that i have to "visit" after my visa expires?
Please help me with any informations or experiences you have regarding this problems!!!
Thank you very much!!
