Hi there

Just wondering if there are any South African physician J1 holders out there that could point me in the right direction to get a "Certificate of Need" from the Department of Health?

Ask ECFMG. They have a list of the offices in the respective countries that issue the statement. And they are picky. In my case they rejected it bc the street address of the issuing office hat changed. After all 100 or so physicians from my country who applied for J1s in that year submitted the same statement and after I had the consul in NY clarify to ECFMG that that this was indeed the correct office they finally accepted it.
