I need help.
I have applied for Green card via marriage based case in June 2001.I got interview date
for Feb 25 but my problem is currently in I am residing in NJ(moved to nj) and I applied for my case
in VA.
Right now what is best choice for me and do you have any idea how long it gonna take additional
time if I transfer my case to NJ.?
Is there a way to go for interview in VA?
All responses are very welcome.
Thanks

Did you just move? How did you get the interview letter if you moved, unless you moved rececntly.

Just show up at you interview in VA. Let INS do as little work as you possibly can give them. If you try to transfer the case, it will take forever. So just drive down to VA and do your interview. Make sure you apprise your interviewer about your new NJ residence and give her the address. Tell her to have the plastic card sent to the new address.

Thanks for your reply.
My in laws live in virginia and i am using their address. Its been a year I have moved to nj so all my proofs have nj address.

As long as the evidence proves that you and your wife have a bonafide marriage and have established a life together then you should have no problem. Ways to prove that you have established a life together would be:
1) joint leases
2) paperwork showing both your and her name etc.

I am also going through the same situation.I filed petiion thru my wife who is USC, in 2001 and my interview date is May 2003.I recently(temporarily) moved to NJ and i haven't transfered the case. But i still have valid address/house in virigina where i can collect all my mails.I talked with INS national customer service about transfering the case and they informed me that as long as you have a valid address in VA where you can collect the mails you don't have to transfer the case.Pleale reply after 25the about your interview.Good luck.
