I have applied for AOS (I-130/I-485) and I expect my EAD in a couple of months. I would like to start my own business and manage it once my EAD is approved. My wife is a U.S. Citizen. Can I start the business now with my wife as an employee and have her run the business until I get work authorization? Is this the best way to go about it? I need to have the business ready to go by the time my work authorization comes through so that I can just walk in and run it or I will be with out income for way too long and if I wait to start it up until I get my EAD it may not be possible for us financially. Any advice on how we can get it started (perhaps have it in my wife's name and then have me buy the business when I get my EAD? This just seems like an administrative nightmare).
