Hi Guys,
I am new to this forum. I have quick question about starting the I-485 application processing after it is filed. I believe, they take applications based on the application received the service center(first come first serve) not by priority date. But one of my colleague said, they will process I-485's based on the priority dates. If any one clears my doubt that would really great for me.

This doubt is bothering me from last couple of days. Because, if it is by priority date, i hope i will get my GC after 7 or 8 yrs. If it by RD, i hope i am one of the lucky guy. I already spent 5 yrs in US. I don't have much patience to stay here for GC. Already i am on my own plans to go back. Please help me....!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
