I know its kind of weird, but one F-1 and one F-2 student in our university started a company to serve as brokers of local apartment rental companies. They introduce others to some apartments (that gives discount) and earn rake-off. They are both owners and they are the only guys work for the company.
Is there any chances for the company to be legal? Say if they don't draw money from the company and just claim they are working for the company as volunteers?
They claim that they got answers from immigration lawyers that they are legal. But my common sense tells me they are not. Can any one give me an answer?
