Hi all,
I am getting married to a US citizen later this year - i have joint Ventured in a Business with a friend of my Fiance's who lives in the US. My husband to be is living with me in Australia & is looking at starting his career here with the Fire-Brigade.
We have decided that we want to continue with our careers in each country - he would stay here & i would travel to & from the US running my Business.
My question is this.... how does this stand with immigration wen a newly married couple are not 2gether in the country of one's origin? Will it present problems if My Husband 2b wants to stay here & i travel between countries?
Also - if it can be done at all - can we do this as soon as we are married - or do we have to wait for papers to be approved for him to stay here (as this is going 2b our base) - or once we are married... does this entitle us to automatically live in the others country? ei: can i go soon after & start the running of my Business??
These questions i am very confused on & dont know where we stand on a legal level... I will be travelling back to Australia 2 > 3times per year to begin with - would i have to apply for Dual Citizenship to be able to do this or permanent residency??
Please advise me of what we are dealing with regarding this situation as it would help me with the process of things....
