Dear JoeF,
I read probably most of the threads regarding the S corporation issue while being under an EAD. Unfortunately I didn't know this and have created my S corporation about 2 years ago. My I-485 is due to be processed within the coming month as it turns out. I understand that what I have done is illegal and will change the status of the corporation ASAP. However, none of the threads explained the impact of such a genuine mistake on my immigration status. I am still working full time for my current employer and am mainly an investor in this S corporation (my current employer sponsors me for my I-485 and not the S corporation). I have never taken any salary and little profits actually. Do you know what is the impact on my I-485 application and what I can/should do to hopefully resolve the issue?
