please help, ya'll gurus!
on F1 with I-20 valid until May 31, 2004. finished course work and now in final stages of writing thesis as part of the MS program.
Plan to go on OPT and need to write a START DATE for the OPT. what should be written:
i) the end date on I-20 ? or
ii) the day of defending the thesis?
iii) the day of submitting the thesis?
iv) the day thesis is accepted by the Univ?
v) the day MS degree is recieved from the Univ?
vi) any other date that i am not aware of?
I read that OPT is available ---- For students in a bachelor's, master's or doctoral degree program, after completion of all course requirements for the degree (excluding thesis or equivalent) -----
does that mean that even if thesis is not submitted before end date on I-20, can one still start OPT and submit thesis later (while being on OPT)
