Hi,
I got my first H1 in Feb 2005 and I entered USA in May 2005. In my W2 for 2005 gross is around 20K

I worked for the same Employer till April 2006 and switched to Employer B. I had to go to India on personal background in July 2006. I returned in Sept 2007. So in my W2 gross for 2006 from both the employers is around 20K.

Now I started to work from Nov and I fear my gross in W2 for 2007 will not reach even 20K.

My first H1 expired on 30th September 2007, I entered USA on 25th September 2007. I am planning to go for H1 Stamping in January. Presently I am in CA, so planning to go to Mexico.

Now my questions:
1. Are my W2s for the last 2 years and W2 for this year going to effect H1 stamping?

2. Do you suggest any selected Consulates to get stamped successfully?

3. I am getting married in Feb 2008 and my spouse will go for H4 stamping in March / April. Are my W2s for the 2005, 2006 & 2007 going to effect her H4.

Please suggest to get successful H1 & H4 stamping.

Thanks in advance

It's the pay rate that matters ... if you are outside of the U.S. you need not get paid during that period. Did your employer filed the H-1B extension before September 30, 2007?

Here are the answers to your questions:
1. In general a visa officer do not check for W2s but you have to keep them handy.
2. No consulate is special it's your preparation that matters.
3. Same as question #1. Please check out the following links for H-1 / H-4 stamping.
