stamping: temp. GC

We have come 10 a.m. and were first in line. I have prepared docs as written in the approval notice: the notice itself, i94, passport and 2 photos. No questions asked, oficer took my signature and a fingerprint (on both sides of a form) and stamped my passport, the stamp valid for one year. Next was my wife. I've told the oficer that the wife's passport has 3 mnths before exparation and we will have to send it out for extension. Then officer suggested to give her a separate stamp, same as described by Pork Chop in http://boards.immigration.com/showthread.php?threadid=124294 - THANKS Pork Chop, your information helped us a lot! One important thing: you should have one more photo (3 of them), to paste on this "temporary GC". It takes some additional time for the officer to prepare this card, maybe that's why they just do stamping, if not asked otherwise. And this was it. Btw, we were not asked to give APs, EADs, etc, only what is listed in the notice.
Good luck everybody!

I have a problem. I have my address in state A for all INS purposes. I live in state B and hold DL of state B. Now my question is, if they insist on DL, the IO may see the different addresses and he may question.

Many people in US do not change their DLs after moving - it should not be a big deal.. If you are concerned, just use your passport - it is an acceptable form of ID.

Thank you very much.
