stamping question

Has anyone tried taking an appointment with SF office for passport stamping ? If so is it worth-it or can I just show up at the office ?

I just turned up. If you do go without an appointment try to get there by 7 a.m. if you don't want the line to be too long.

I was there at just after 7 and out before 11.
