I got my approval letter last weekend !

Question : Can I go to a closer Service Center for stamping or do I have to go to the Center specified in the approval letter ?

In response also to the other threads asking for it ...

I went to a local Service Center (4 hrs drive closer compared to the one specified in the approval letter). They processed my passport and I fingerprinted and signed on the I-89 form for the actual greencard. It was fast and easy. I was just surprised at the rubber stamp used because I was kinda expecting like an H1B visa stamp which definitely looks a lot nicer than a rubber stamp. Also, they took my fingerprint manually (with real ink) on the I-89 form itself which is very different when Service Center in another state took my fingerprints electronically for the EAD I had before. They said actual card may take upto 9 months for me to receive. We'll see.
