Stamping process

Hi,

My 485 has been approved last week (VSC, NJ). However, I had applied for my EAD extension in March which has still not come through. It is my understanding that I have to surrender my EAD when I go for my stamping. Do I have to wait till my EAD renewal comes through, or can I go for the stamping & be quiet about it

Your EAD application will be denied as you are now a permanent resident.

If one looks into the process, it is evident that EAD/AP has nothing to do with stamping. They collect them while stamping only to avoid confusion. If you say you didn\'t bring them, no one is going to bother.
