Stamping on May 8th at Vancouver

I am going for visa stamping for 7th year extension to Vancouver on May 8th 2006. If any of you have been recently, can you please let me know if they are issuing the passport on the same day or giving it back on the next day.

Please post ur experience here. I am also planing to go there. I wud apreciate if you can give the list of documents you took and the procedure to make the apointment. Do u need canadian visa to travel ?
