Stamping on a name-changed passport

Hello,

I have recently had a new passport issued with my corrected name. My earlier passport that I used for my initial entry to the US had my first name, last name and father's name mixed up.

Now that I am planning on visiting India, I would need to go for stamping since I have switched from L1 to H1 since my last travel out of US. My H1 petition that was generated and approved based on my earlier passport, has my (mixed up) name as mentioned on my earlier passport. I am concerned if this difference in names - on my new passport vs my approved H1 Notice of Action that I would be using to get the new visa stamped, would create an issue at Mumbai consulate or at my port of entry to US. To add to the above confusion, my SSN has my correct name in the correct order.

What could be the options for me? Is it safe to go ahead with the visa stamping using my new passport with the updated name or should I get my h1 petition updated to reflect my new name before I attempt the stamping?

Please advise.

Thank you.
