Hello,

I just wanted to share my experience with stamping in Hartford,CT. Although I was aware that I might need Infopass to get my passport stamped I took the risk and went there without an infopass appoinment. I thought I had a chance because approval notice (Sep 15 2004) does not mention infopass at all.

Well, they refused to accept me. And they don't care what notice says. And what more is funny is that even if you have infopass appoinment that does not mean that you will be speaking with officer at appointed time. What it does mean that you will get ahead of all people staying in line at walk in window to get your ticket meaning that you will have to wait nevertheless.

How stupid I must say.

Regards..

one time when I went for Interim EAD to Hartford, CT with the Infopass appointment, I had the same experience. Only advantage you get for Infopass is not to stand on the line to get your ticket. Thereafter it's the same old story waiting for your ticket number to talk to the agent.

does that mean you do not need to go at 4 in the morning? you can go at 8 am and get ahead of the people in the line? Please clarify me. So thinkpad, how soon can you get an appt in infopass? Also, does this mean that for passport stamping we always need to take apt by infopass? Thanks.
