Stamping in San Francisco instead of San Jose ?

Hi All,

We have received the courtesy copies of our I-485 approval notices 3 days after the actual AD. They mention the Monterey Road office in San Jose as the stamping center.

Has anybody tried to get their passport stamped in San Francisco instead, even with an approval letter referring to San Jose ? I have found a posting from someone who got stamped in LA instead of San Diego, but not SF instead of SJ.

did u get "welcome notice" or "approval notice?

Hi,
Most of the people are getting currently "welcome notice" and is it yours "approval notice" ?. Is it ok to do stamping with "welcome notice" ?.

It is an approval notice.

I believe you can get stamped at an any USCIS office. There are posts here of folks who even got stamped on the east coast even though referred to SF/SJ.
