I had my passport stamped a week ago in Detroit local office. A couple of notes for those who are about to do the same:
- If you make Infopass appointment, bear in mind that one appointment is good for 1 or max 2 persons. You will need to set-up 2 appointments for a family of 3 or 4 etc. We had one appt. for a family of 4 and the officer and her supervisor were about to send us back, but our lawyer managed to settle the problem. The reason is simple - there is not enough room for more than 2 people in front of the service windows.
- Our lawyer had said that he received some info through his AILA channels that USCIS will not accept photos with a smile where teeth are exposed. Our pics were with wide happy smiles
, but they still were accepted. The lawyer said that the officer probably wasn't aware of the new rule yet.... Who knows.... Better keep your teeth inside, I guess
Good luck everyone!
