Stamping in Columbus, OH

Hi,
I received my approval notice yesterday and it says that I need to go to the Cinci office. But, has anybody got their stamping at the Columbus office ? The reason why I'm asking is, when I went to the Columbus office for FP, I saw a couple waiting for their stamping. Is this a possibility at all? Are there any ramifications in getting the stamping done at a location other than the one advised?
Thanks!

yes, it is possible

yes you can get your passport stamped at columbus.
I have seen some postings in this site.
I do not see any ramifications of this but you can ask the people there.
:)

Babu,
We did ours stamping in Columbus couple of weeks back. Our approval notices also said go to cinci for stamping but we went to columbus office and there is no hussle or big lines for stamping. The stamping in columbus takes only 30 minutes or so!

Cheers!

I got stamping done in Columbus OH on 09/23/02. I went to the office around 3:00 pm. The entire process took 30 mins.

No problems and no questions asked.

2 questions for u please...

1. Did your notice say Cinci?
2. Are you from NSC or VSC?
3. Could you please share your experience (just an outline and list of docs submitted would do) - would greatly appreciate it.....

actually turned out to be 3 questions :-)

My notice said that I need to go to Cincy. But my attorney told me that I can go to Cols office betwen 3:00 and 4:00pm and should not have any problem.

Took the courtesy copy which I received with passport, I94, EAD, did not have AP, 2 ADIT style photos. Just handed it over to the officer in counter 1.

Was asked to wait After nearly 25 mins the officer called us in got us fingerprinted (index finger) and signed the doc and then was asked to wait outside. After couple mins came back with the passport stamped.

Told me it will take anywhere betwen 3 weeks to 6 months to receive the card.

Cheers
