I am planning to go to Charlotte to get my passport stamped. I got my approval 2 days back. I am thinking of staying the previous night in Charlotte as the idea of driving from Raleigh to Charlotte at 3:00 AM does not make much sense to me. Can someone let me know a decently priced hotel close to the INS office ?

Stamping in Charlotte - hotel ?

Look for the one near Tivoli center
Thats where the office is at.
There used to be a Holiday Inn just across where the previous office was.
But the office has moved to Tivoli center.
Get the right address.
And be there before 6 am.
If you have to drive less than 2 hours...... you dont need a hotel to say........... well.... its individuals convenience.

My advise to you to drive Early morning from your home to Charlotte Tyvola Center, just make sure you reached here before 7:30 AM and take a number and wait, INS Officer are very nice and so far maximum waiting time is 2 hrs to 3 hrs. if not many people in the hall for stamping then you should be done by 30 min max.
I live very near to Tyvola Center, if you still want to stay in Hotel then I advise you to stay Quality Inn which is very near to Tyvola Center.
Just pray that their system are up and fast if their system is down or slow then you can not do much except waiting.
