I made an appointment two weeks ago before I went to SFO this morning. people with an appointment got servered first. So better get an appointment before going.

A mp3 player with voice recording feature in my bag caused some delay and i had to go out of the office to leave it in my car, so don't bring camera, cell phone, recorder into the building, otherwise you have to stand in the line again after you have taken care of those things.

I handled all my APs, H1s, H4s to the officer, she even didn't check what I had given to her or what else I should have given to her. she just took the stack of those documents and let us go after stamping on our passport.

Yes, god forbid the USCIS would want you to record the deafening silence of a depressed and exhausted crowd, punctuated by the occassional signal that the next ticket number has come up on the screen. Who knows what suspicious uses that could be put to! <sigh> It would be funny if it weren't so paranoid.

BTW, cellphones without cameras are fine... I took mine in and used it a lot during our six hour wait (pre-InfoPass days).
