My I-485 was approved on April 19th. went for stamping this morning. after reading bunch of posts here, i decided to go early and reached the "appointments line" at 6:45, there were few people ahead of me. security guy let me in after going through the approval notice, went to the counter and got the token. I was the 3rd one in the waiting area.
Got called in about 10 mins. went and gave all my paper works and had finger printing and signature done. IIO was nice but "SLOW", by this time the waiting area was full and few more counters were open. The guy told me to wait for a few and he will call me when the stamping is done.
Waited for about 15 mins, got the passport. came out at 7:45. I was expecting to be out of the INS at about 11 , but mine was a pretty smooth process.

Thanks all for the support and information that you share and provide through this forum. Good luck to everybody who are waiting.

Appointment date

When is your appointment date? Does it matter you went there before the appointment date as when we did FP? Is it ok standing in the appointment line even before appointment date?

I never had an appointment date/time. the approval notice says i can go there monday-thursday between 7:30 to 10:30. thats the appointment.

FP and Photo at stamping

Hi ganesanc,

Did you do FP there? Does it only require thumb or all ten fingers? What kind of photos they need, visa or passport photo?

Thanks,

Re: FP and Photo at stamping

unlike 1st FP second FP requires head and but prints also...just to make sure you are the same person who came for the 1st FP.....

you never know all these news with gay marriages anything can happen...
