Hi Friends,
Today I have completed my PP stamping at San Jose Center without any problem. I went to the center at 2:30 AM and got the token #s between 63 to 66. Our stamping was over by 9:15 AM. It took just 3 minutes for each my family members.
The document submitted by me :
       Original Approval letters
       I-94
       AP
       EAD
       2 ADIT style photos.
The same officer took the Finger print and my signature in I-89 form.

  For your information,
Though the INS website says that before 7:00 AM there is no bath room facility available outside while waiting to get the token, there are 2 temporary bath rooms available. Because of the very foul smell, I saw some people using the trees near by area as bath room. Mobile food center visits at 5:30 AM.

In very stressful 4 years and 2 months GC journey, I received a lot of help from this site. By sharing our problem and experiences with another, we tried to reduce our pain. I gain so much information from the friends in this site. My long GC has almost come to an end. My sincere thanks to everyone who shared their experiences and knowledge in this wonderful site.
My thanks to RS Khanna and Ron Gotcha.

I will continue to visit this site more often than earlier to share my experiences. It is my time to give back more than what I have received from this wonderful site and friends.
I pray the THE ALMIGHTY to help the friends and in particularly company name cases to get approval very soon.

NOTE : I have DOB discrepancy between my birth certificate and other docs. like passport, H1, I-94,SSLC, etc.. I did not get any RFE regarding this problem. I will be very happy to help you on this. I was trying to correct the passport date with court order. I spent nearly Rs 80K to crrect the passport. But still case is going on. I can help on this also.If anybody have any question with DOB discrepancy, please feel free to ask questions.

      WISH YOU ALL GOOD LUCK.

         THANK YOU VERY MUCH.

Congrats! Mogaram

It sure must be a great feeling. Would U be kind enough in answering some of my queries. Thanks in advance.
Was your petition(I485) approved from VSC ?
If yes,
The fact that your passport was stamped at INS, San Jose consolidates the notion that one can opt for this process(PP stamping) in another Service centre.
1. Does your approval notice direct you to any particular INS centre for the stamping process?
2. Were U asked to submit a proof of address or any other document to support your choice of this centre(INS, SJ) as approval is from VSC?
3. Any idea if the INS, San Francisco can be preffered over INS, SJ for the stamping process?

If no,
I Guess U should\'ve posted on CSC section perhaps! Roight mate?
(I\'ve an inkling that U did get approval from VSC though. Please clarify)
Take Care & Have Fun!!
Best Regards,
AA

Hi aamiragassi,
Yes. You are right. My I-485 was filed and approved at VSC.

   Answers to your questions :

   1. Yes. It is very clearly mentioned in the approval letter that I should go to San Jose center on any week day except Friday for my stamping.
   2. No. They did not ask for any proof of my address. We are familiy of 4. Nobody was asked any question regarding this. I was with them while their stamping was done. Four different officers processed our papers.
   3. Some people say that sometime SF INS accepts other centers cases. I did not try to attempt it. Having waited for 4 years, waiting in the line for another 5 or 6 hours was not a big problem for me.

   Wish you good luck

     Thanks

Thanks Much Mogaram.
"Having waited for 4 years, waiting in the line for another 5 or 6 hours was not a big problem for me".
We\'d be hardpressed to find One in a million who wouldn\'t agree with U on it.

I Guess U must\'ve notified INS, VSC about your current address(SJ, CA) which enabled them to ask you to go to the INS, SJ centre.
Please excuse me for bugging but do you think it\'d be Ok if a person were to go to a centre other than the one mentioned on the approval notice. (If Change of address has not been notified to the INS).
I understand that the Stamping Officer (WDR, the Officer who stamps the PP) should have access to records of a person who appraoches INS for this process. Hence those records could be sent to the centre that\'s mentioned on the approval notice unless ofcourse it\'s all available electronically with access rights given to all INS centres.
I\'m not sure if U noticed the Stamping officer pull out some kind of documentation whilst attending to you. Please enlighten.

Thanks again for wishing Good Luck.
Congrats to the happy foursome.
Best Regards,
AA

Hi aamiragassi,
Since my company\'s head quarters are located in VSC area, My I-485 was filed, processed and approved in VSC center. I am living in Sunnyvale ( near San Jose,CA) since 1995 onwards. All my INS applications (Labor,I-140 and I-485) have the current Sunnyvale address. Though I-485 is processed in VSC, when it comes to stamping, they ask us to go to the INS center that is nearest to you. In my case, it is San Jose. I did not change any address since the starting my GC process ( labor) and living in the same address.
You should be able to go to other centers also for stamping, since officer is able to pull our records electronically. INS officers pulled my records electronically by supplying my A#. I saw them typing the number and getting the information from the PC. It had happened in all of my family members cases. The whole process (including stamping and fingerprinting) took just 3 or 4 minutes. They did not refer any other physical documents or files.

    Wish you all best.

Let me know if you need any other information.

    Thanks
