RD-10/04/01. AD - 10/15/02
Just wanted to share this with you guys.
Went to Philadelphia INS office (1600 Callowhill) around 11.45 am. After a good search for a spot, parked my car.
Entered one of the photo booths and got the ADIT / INS photos taken(2 of them).
Enetered the building around 12.10 PM, went through the security check and after almost an hour wait, got the token.
Around 4.30PM, after almost 3 and half hours of waiting, our turn finally came. The officer(she is very polite) took the following:
approval notice,
photographs,
passport,
EAD,
Advance Parole, &
I-94 and made me sign and fingerprint a document.
And FINALLY, she stamped my passport!!!!! She said the stamp is valid for one year (which is very evident becasue you see the date on the stamp) and I can use it for travel purposes untill i get the physical card. Ditto with my wife too.
It just took 10 -15 minutes for the entire process to finish and we were out of the building around 4.45 PM.
Hope this experience helps. Let me know if you have any questions.
TIPS:
1) Take a lot of quarters(around $5 worth or may be more). You need them for car parking.
2) Use the booths to get the photograps taken. They are very fast and relatively cheap. They usually open around 7 in the morning.
3) Take something to read . The wait time can bore you to death.
Thanks to all the members of the site for all your help and best of luck to you all.
GO EAGLES!!!!!!!!!!!!!
