I got my passbook stampled last wed (9/13/00). One important suggestion: the entrance for the ins office is at the back of the building not the entrance on the board street. There is a car park on the other side of board street. Get there early and prepare to wait for three or fours hours. They start letting people in at 7:30.
Two step process:
First queue to take your notice, PP, employment card, I94, (they did not take our AP document)
Second queue: stamp your passbook.
