Stamping done finally !!

Hi all,
finally had my stamping done and the journey is almost coming to an end. some glitch at the last minute too. my passport is going to expire in august, so the guy stamped on the I-94 and asked me to keep that since the passport will be changed soon. he wants me to pin it to the new passport when i get it. and said hopefully i will get the cards by then. i dont care anymore, as long as the deed is done.
This has been such a hard journey with hurdles at every little step, now that I have it, i wonder what am i going to do with this GC. My life got messed up enough in all this. I am not even sure if all this struggle is worth it. hopefully it will prove me otherwise.
My spouse's case is still pending, but i am not worried about it, atleast for now.

Congrats on your stamping.

So how did you get your stamping since your approval notice mail did not reach you. How did you make it to the stamping

my approval notice finally came on friday and luckily i was able to get an appt for monday. i was sick all weekend, so forgot to post..sorry about it. the approval notice reached the post office the first time but was sent back to TSC and was resent to us by them. I came to know since they attached the previous envelope with the approval notice. i had recently moved right before approval and did not update my address yet since i didnt want any confusion about the mailing address. i assumed that the post office will redirect the letter as everything else. Apparently, they do not redirect USCIS letters. they put a address change sticker with the new address on the envelope and sent it back to TSC. TSC officer then put the right address on the envelope and sent it back to us...my mind bogles at their logic. the only thing that makes sense is that it is the way to make sure that they are always notified of address change.
otherwise, it doesnt make sense.
