I got the passport stamped. Here are some details:
The office is the JFK low-rise bldg in Govt Center. Take the T to either Govt Center or Downtown Crossing. Room is E-160.
Make sure to take all approval receiptsI-94, AP and EAD cards. Also notify the officer if your address has changed.

Depending on when you go it may take between 30 minutes to a couple hours.
The office gets crowded. Therefore if you have kids, make sure you are
there by 7 AM so that you can get out early.
